Privacy policy, in plain language

Effective 2026-07-19. The short version: we run standard analytics to see which pages help people, we may show ads to keep the site free, and we never ask for or sell personal information.

Who we are

This policy covers strikersclubwiki.com (“the site”), an unofficial fan website about the game Strikers Club. We are not affiliated with Oddshot Games. Questions about this policy go to contact@strikersclubwiki.com.

What we collect, and why

Analytics

We use standard web analytics tools, currently Google Analytics 4 (configured with IP anonymization) and Microsoft Clarity, and we may use Google Tag Manager to manage them. These tools tell us things like which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from (country-level), what device and browser they use, and how they move through pages, including anonymized interaction recordings in Clarity’s case. We use this to find broken pages, see which guides actually help, and decide what to write next. These tools may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser and process data on their providers’ servers under their own policies (Google’s and Microsoft’s respectively). These analytics currently load with the page; a consent banner with the ability to decline will ship together with advertising. Until then you can block them with standard browser tracking protection or Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

Advertising

To keep the site free, we may show ads served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), a consent prompt will be shown before any such cookies are set, and non-personalized ads are used absent consent.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some other third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices. We do not control third-party ad cookies; their providers’ policies govern them.

Contact email

If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you write. We use it to reply, we do not add you to any list, and we delete threads when they are resolved and no longer needed.

What we never collect

  • No account system, so no passwords, profiles, or login data.
  • No forms harvesting personal information, and no newsletter by default.
  • No selling or renting of any visitor data to anyone, full stop.
  • The tactics board encodes formations in the page link itself; boards you create are not uploaded to us.

Cookies, and your controls

Cookies on this site come from the analytics and advertising tools described above, plus one harmless local preference (your light or dark theme choice, stored in your browser’s local storage, never sent anywhere). You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, use your browser’s tracking protection, or install the ad and analytics opt-out tools offered by Google and Microsoft. The site works fine with all of that enabled.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR in Europe, CCPA/CPRA in California, and similar laws elsewhere), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to or limit certain processing. The honest picture is that we hold almost nothing: analytics data lives aggregated and pseudonymized with the providers, and the only directly identifying data we ever hold is email you chose to send us. To exercise any right, email contact@strikersclubwiki.com and we will act on it promptly.

Children

The site is general-audience game content and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child sent us personal data by email, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If our tools or practices change (for example, when ads go live or a new analytics tool is added), this page is updated first and the effective date above changes with it. Material changes get a visible note here.
